Eid is the peak season for entertainment. Every year, songs from movies are usually at the center of discussions surrounding this festival. However, the scenario for Eid 2026 showed a difference. While songs from several high-profile released movies failed to meet expectations, it was a drama song—”Agun”—that stole the spotlight.

The song “Agun” from the Eid special drama Golapi, produced under the CMV banner, has been creating a massive buzz on social media since its release. With its cinematic video production, romantic lyrics, captivating melody, and visually stunning performances, the song quickly carved a place in the hearts of the audience.

The song features vocals by Imran Mahmudul and Kona. Its lyrics were penned by Robiul Islam Jibon, while the music and composition were handled by Imran himself.

The video was directed by Saikat Reza, featuring performances by Tawsif Mahbub and Tanjin Tisha. The drama was directed by Rubel Hasan.

Imran Mahmudul, elated by the song’s unexpected success, said, “We didn’t create the song ‘Agun’ with any separate ‘hit’ plan in mind. The song was made as a necessity of the story. However, the way the audience has embraced it is truly surprising. Now, it feels like the song has carved its own path.”

It is worth noting that several films were released this Eid, with their songs being unveiled before the festival. Among them are Prince‘s “Pori” and “Jala Jala,” Dom‘s “Kothay Paba Tare” and “Ei Mon Tomake Dilam,” Pressure Cooker‘s “Borai Kare,” Bonalata Express‘s “Chait-e Pairo” and “Ural Deb Akashe,” and Rakkhosh‘s “Shuddhotar Prem,” “Bilet Raja,” and “Tumi Chara.”
