The Israeli military is currently fighting on multiple fronts simultaneously against Iran and Lebanon. As a result, a shortage of troops has emerged within the forces. If this situation continues, the Israeli military may collapse, warned the country’s army chief Eyal Zamir.

According to various Israeli media reports, Zamir attended a meeting of Israel’s cabinet security committee on Wednesday. There, he stated, “I am raising ten red flags before you. Due to the shortage of soldiers, the army will soon become incapable of carrying out even routine operations.”

In this situation, the Israeli army chief also presented several recommendations at the cabinet meeting. He emphasized the need for new laws regarding military recruitment, the reinstatement of former soldiers, and the extension of mandatory service periods.

Meanwhile, in ongoing clashes in southern Lebanon on Thursday, one Israeli soldier was killed in an attack by Hezbollah. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that Sergeant Ori Greenberg (21) of the Golani Brigade was killed during an exchange of fire with Hezbollah. Another soldier was injured but received treatment at the scene.

With this incident, the number of Israeli soldiers killed in that area has risen to three.
