Lebanese armed group Hezbollah has claimed to have carried out more than 100 military operations against Israeli forces in the past 24 hours. On Friday (March 27), a statement from Hezbollah’s media wing reported that the total number of consecutive attacks against Israeli forces has reached 103.

In direct clashes with the Israeli military over the last 24 hours, Hezbollah claimed to have killed one Israeli soldier and destroyed a Merkava tank.

Reports indicate that heavy rocket attacks were launched in northern Israel, triggering sirens in the Mitula settlement of the Upper Galilee region. Israeli sources stated that a large number of rockets were fired from Lebanon.

Hezbollah has intensified targeted strikes on Israeli military installations. The group claimed precise missile attacks on the Eliakim and Tefen bases east of Acre city and the Zev air defense base in Haifa. They also reported destroying another Israeli Merkava tank.

Clashes have escalated in border areas as well. A missile attack targeted another Merkava tank between the Mhaisibat and Qantara highlands in southern Lebanon. At the same time, direct confrontations and drone attacks occurred near Israeli forces in the Nakoura area.

Meanwhile, rising pressure on the northern border has prompted Israeli forces to request additional troop deployments, according to various sources.

As part of the rocket attacks, at least 30 rockets were initially fired, striking the Galilee and Haifa coastal regions. Hebrew media reported that the attacks simultaneously spanned areas from Haifa Bay to Zariyet and Karmiel.

Israeli media described these attacks as some of the most intense since the start of the war.

On the other hand, the Israeli military confirmed that one officer was killed in the southern Lebanon clashes. He was a member of the 77th Battalion of the 7th Armored Brigade.

The escalating attacks and counter-clashes indicate that the conflict along the Lebanon border is becoming broader and more intense. Since the U.S. and Israeli operations began on February 28, international media report nearly 1,500 deaths in Iran. In addition, 1,140 deaths in Lebanon due to Israeli strikes have been reported.
